Just ask anyone I am sure they will tell you...
I would say our family: but I feel like that is so cliche... we are more like a band of rebals who have come together with the purpose of making a great life! sooo...
Our band of Rebels: Derick Lisa & Kona
Derick is the rock of our rebellion... I just jump around from idea to idea, emotion to emotion, obsession to obsession... and Derick stands firm in the midst of the swirling chaos that is me... He grounds me without holding me down... He is in the business of knowing stuff... and he is freaking good at it! Thats all I really know... Derick is the social one in our rebellion... he loves hanging out with friends and having people over. He loves debating ideas and issues... mostly because he is always right... My favorite part about him is that he thinks I am amazing!
I (Lisa) am as I said earlier a swirling mess of emotions, ideas & obsessions! Many contradicting each other... but I have a soulmate who once said being contradictory makes us multi-facited... allows us to stand apart and shine! I am a florist by trade, an art teacher on paper, and a mentor in real life. I work with 9-12 year olds after school and in the summer. We have some awesome adventures together... we learned to surf together, hike on active volcanoes, play dodgeball and discuss the nuances of life. I feel like all those kids are mine and I love them so much! And most importantly I am epic, everything I do is epic... It just the way I am... can't help it!
Kona is our puppy.... our three year old 100 lb puppy. She is a black lab rottweiller mix. She is like my child... she is super smart and understands almost everything we say... but is too stubborn to obey. She peels hard boiled eggs. She loves long walks on the beach (no really she does) and she hates when I go surfing because she feels like she has to swim out with me each time I paddle out to make sure I am safe.
